![]() Personally I've been trying to figure out how much force a dako would hit something with if it jumped out of a tree.Īnd as for achero's retraction from being playable: just play as a young dakotaraptor, It will be very similar if not the same in gameplay. Linkso take either with a grain of salt I guess. Now that said: a friend on DA scaled up deinonychus' weight (similar proportions to dako) and got 720 lbs. Dakotaraptor,Pachycephalosaurus, Anzu and Ankylosaurus from a third-person perspective. Now for weight: Saurian's blog post said dako weighed in around if not exceeding 440 lbs. However, I recognize the unlikelihood of meeting a Quetzalcoatlus mid-air. These achievements, however, have no power over changing the gameplay mechanics, meaning these achievements don't need to be. These achievements serve as a sort of record of the notable activities the player has accomplished or as challenges that the player may want to achieve just for fun. ![]() Join our server for updates and discussion on the Saurians development, and for general discussion about natural history, media, and their intersections. As a juvenile, I had the lucky view of a Quetz passing just by my side, when climbing a redwood tree. The Saurian game is equipped with many achievement points, that classify the path of the player. (the toe claws were used to assist in climbing IIRC) Saurian is a dinosaur survival-simulation video game set in the Hell Creek ecosystem 66 million years ago, based painstakingly upon the most up-to-date science available. in addition IIRC Dakotaraptor had proportionally long arms as well. ![]() (at least with those big claws)Īnd to add to my point: Dakotaraptor has a proportionally large claw for a dromaeosaur of it's size. Grizzly bears can be around that weight if not larger and they can climb (at least to a degree) Dromaeosaurs are more suited to climbing than bears I assume. More dinosaurs and other features are on the way. Paleop wrote:dakotaraptor has roughly the same volumeĪ male polar bear of roughly same size would be about 900Lbs a dakota at full size would be built pretty lightly so 440Lbs? (source /?p=77…) I play with the Dakotaraptor, which is currently the only dinosaur available.
