If I pulled 45ml, I just drink those coffees instead of making another shot for perfect 38ml espresso (around 25-30 second). The design of this espresso machine was inspired by professional baristas, so it looks like something you would find in a high-end coffee shop. I am okay with the grinder even though it's weak point since I will not compete or show off making perfect espresso every days. Honestly, I don't regret to get impress instead of pro. I set grinder and auto grinder feature is very nice since it will stop then using built in temping feature for once or twice and ready to pull espresso. Pro model has better system but You will take more time with temping. Impress model is all about convenience and It's exactly same with express machine. Actually it's better than expensive espresso machine with less trained coffee shop employees, Also Breville machine will give decent espresso. I am not picky about making perfect espresso. Honestly I've never corrected perfect adjustments so manually done it but finally I correctly tuned and auto grind is working good.ĭoes anyone know if it's better to just get the Breville Barista pro at the same price? Normally I'd assume this one is better since it's orginally higher, but after reading the comments about the grinder, I'm not sure!Īs I said before, I considered pro too but I went to impress. It is a rabbit hole for sure, and there are some good discussions on past coffee deals! I "knew" BBB was going under and needed to burn a GC so I am happy with my purchase, but if I paid retail I would be regretful I believe. Like others said you are better off buying separate pieces. ![]() Ultimately, I got it on a good deal, but if I was paying this current price I would not do it. It was also dumping the grinds into a corner for some period for who knows why. I just dont see how it could be my user error given how little there is to do here on the auto setting. The built in tamper is nice but the auto grind, for some reason, sometimes just grinds a ton too much. ![]() Honestly, it has been less than impressive and sometimes aggravating. I debated for a couple days and also did the same you did grabbing the express impress. I know the exact deal you did and those 2 machines were the only ones that did not sell out fast! So. Some shots were great, others not so much.Īfter switching to a DF64 and a Bambino Plus im getting more consistent shots. Not bad by any means but grinds were fairly inconsistent. I went with a Barista Pro but like you said the grinder is the weak point. I personally think its a better idea to buy separates. If you are really serious about coffee, one should get separate grinder and express machine but Breville is good machine for all in one. Probably I made 400+ coffee by now and definitely I saved more money. I went to homegood store and they are raised prices for Breville coffee machine by $50. Biggest weakness of Breville machine is grinder but It still gives decent coffee. Impress might be slower but tamping is built in. ![]() One was express pro and the other was express impress. I was hesitating since there were several deals. Right before their bankruptcy, I was able to get it around $580. I was lucky to get impress from bed & beth.
